| Groove Tools by Conklin |
Groove Tools by Conklin is a licensed line of instruments built in Korea by Westheimer Corporation to our design specifications and handled entirely through that distributor. If you have any questions regarding dealership inquiries, dealer locations or warranty issues, please contact Westheimer Corporation directly "contact us". If you need replacement output jacks or tuning keys, you can order them directly from our website in the "Parts" section.
We are very pleased with the quality of the Groove Tools instruments and are pleased to have them available, however we will caution about the quality of the Groove Tools' cases. There have been numerous problems with the construction of those. If you need a quality case for your Groove Tools bass, please see our "cases" page for our Custom Shop cases which will work perfectly for your Groove Tools bass. |

The GT-4 and GT-5 models were updated and improved. New features include Bartolini licensed pickups, a 3-band EQ, and a preset "slap switch" which cuts the mids and boosts the bass and treble response for a wonderful slap and pop tone. The updates also include two trim pots on the back control cavity cover which allow quick adjustments to the instruments overall output (gain) and the amount of slap effect from the "slap switch". The instruments control layouts now include a Master Volume, Pickup Blend (front, back or a mix of both), separate Bass, Midrange and Treble controls and the "slap switch". |
Billy is proud of his signature model Groove Tool 7- string bass(the GTBD-7). His signature model features Maple/Purpleheart neck-thru-body construction, Swamp Ash "wings" on the back with a Curly Maple top, gold hardware, and totally custom made Bartolini Bill Dickens model pickups and custom electronics; including a 3 position parametric preset rotary switch and mid frequency selector. Bill's bass is available in a purpleburst or clear cellophane finish. |
